How Will 1.9 Affect Wynncraft?

I don't want to make this too lengthy, so let me get to the point.

1.9 is going to add weapon cool downs, making attacking require more strategy and strafing than before. What I'm wondering is how this feature will affect Wynn. The main class I'm worried about is Warrior. The Mage, Archer, and Assassin have weapons that do not have cool downs, so they will stay relatively the same. The Warrior however, has an iron shovel as his attack weapon. Shovels have an EXTREMELY slow cool down in 1.9, so I'm wondering if there will be a way to counteract this feature or rebalance the classes. I don't know if there's a plugin that can disable it, but for now I just want to know what battling or grinding in Wynn will look like in 1.9. Feel free to judge me below :D

 

Wynncraft isn't even fully 1.8 yet. Forget about 1.9 having any impact on us for a very long time.

B.) The devs can implement almost anything since Wynncraft is a server-sided plugin
C.) Many people b4 9/7 have already asked about 1.9 & wynncraft, and to put it simply, they are only going to update to 1.8 with the Gavel update, since they have been in 1.7 in over a year, and many the features of 1.9 (such as attack speed) are already being implemented

 

As far as I know there's a command to change the attackspeed.

 

1.9 features an attribute that allows you to remove and modify the length of the cooldown. I don't think there'll be any problems.

 

NBT tag for cooldown attributes.

 

I'm pretty sure that damage is calculated on the servers anyway, so the cooldown shouldn't be much of an issue. And for the visual side, as said before, you can change the cooldown of an item. But I personally think leaving it in might be a good idea as it could tie in with the new weapon attack speeds for gavel. Making warrior a heavy-hitting but low-DPS class would be more warrior-like. You don't swing a giant spear at someone and leave them less wounded than if you used a leaf-cutting tool.

 

You can turn off all of those features with attributes and scoreboard.

It would be so awesome of there was a /gamerule 1.9 false command.
