Media How Will 1.9 Affect Wynncraft?

So since the 1.9 version of minecraft came out, there are tons of things that can be added to wynn most definitely. Comment below what you think I should add to the list.

The List:

• Spoiler: Elytra Wings

  The Wings are probably the most wanted thing in wynncraft from 1.9 and with the help of certain command blocks, Elytra could be the next HIGH LVL and EXPENSIVE traveling item (suck it horses).
• Spoiler: Infinite Reskins

  Now that you can reskin items by the DURABILITY, the wynn content team can now make the things taht require many textures such as a new class or area.
• Spoiler: New Effects

  There are some odd effects that came with 1.9 such as the weird wall hacks thing... these can be used as new kinds of skills for classes
• Spoiler: New Boats

  There are now new boats that are made with different mechanics, different materials (different boat teirs maybe) and also boats with 2 people. This could add in boats that are faster than others and a mount-type of boat that you can carry at all times. As well as a 2-player option to make your boat go faster
• Spoiler: Shield

  Maybe Shields will make warriors good (don hate, its my opinion)

Don't forget that Particles no longer cause FPS drops, which could allow for portals to other realms in Wynncraft to be made ENTIRELY of particles!

Not necessarily. If there are areas that Wynncraft doesn't let you access without a certain item (eg. Maro Peaks without Climbing Helmet), the same method could probably be used to stop players from entering areas of parkour with Elytra equipped, in the sense that it forces you out if you go in with them on.

 

I don't like 'elytra as a traveling method' ideas, I think it would ruin a game. But from the other side, it would be cool if there will be quest where you have to escape with elytra...

 

elytra could be retextured to look like small dragons and we can have dragon pets ;3

 

yeah but think about some of the games mechanics that would be ruined if this was added, part of the game is just traveling there, if you can just fly there it takes the fun out of the game

 

The Elytra is also pretty glitchy (at least in the snapshots, haven't played 1.9 yet), so there's a fat chance it'll never be in Wynn just because of all the ways you could go through blocks or something... but I can see you having to use the Elytra in a quest or something, in which you'll have to do some Elytra flying parkour thing to go somewhere/escape something.

 

From a design perspective if we added Elytra it'd be end game, level 95+, maybe even 100.

 

Would the max level by then be like 150?

What's the difference between this thread and spyro's thread?

the thing is that the second hand activates if the off hand item has a right click item when the main hand item doesn't have one.if your main hand item has uses for both clicks you wont be able to use it for spells or use your off hand item.if your main item has only a left click function you wont be able to use it for spells as the right click will trigger the off hand item (if it has a right click function).if your main item has only a left click function you will be able to cast spells but you wont be able to use your off hand item (if it doesn't have a right click function).if your main item has a right click function you will be able to cast spells but wont be able to use a off hand item.what can happen is because we are using blocks as weapons now we have the possibility for 8 spells (rrr rrl rlr rll lll llr lrl lrr) so we can use the 4 extra options for the off hand spells (they will still be triggered through the main hand item tho), so we can have asecondary weapon for each class.

I think the thing that is most likely coming is the durability texture mechanic. Why? So the builders don't see weapons while they are tying to build, and so players don't get the red message "you don't have permission to do that" for right clicking the terrain trying to attack

 

I'm pretty sure the builders have the same tp as us but withour the weapon textures so they what they are doing.

 

Ye GMs and Builders have a patch that disables them, but most don't build in the RP anyways

 

Thats what I had in mind (Thats why In said it to be in your town). This makes it so that rarely any one will try to use this to bypass the fly hack kick(because there arent that much high lvl hackers) and making it cost quite a bit will really limit them.
