How To Upload A Image To A Forum Post?

Hello everyone. I am not sure if this is the right place to ask. Sorry if it is the wrong place.
How do i upload an image from my computer to a forum post? As i see it i can only upload from an URL.
I might just be dumb I'm sorry :)

 

Under the main text box and tags bar, there's a button that says "upload a file"

If your file is too big, you'll just have to upload it to imgur or some other place and use the image url

 

The easiest way is to copy the image you want to upload to your clipboard, then Ctrl-V to paste inside the textbox.

I use an iPad, the upload file for me is select from photo library...I guess I have it easy.

 

That does not seem to work for me though.
