Any Class How To Make A Build ! [guide]

Hey guys,

since alot of you guys asked me I will explain how I make my builds.
Some people say it's easy to make builds but it isn't.
To make a good build there are some factors that you HAVE to know and if you don't you will end up being dissapointed about your build not working how you expected it to be.

First of all,you need to know what kind of elements you want and what they do.
We have 5 elementals in the game being
Thunder
Earth
Water
Fire
Air
All of them have some pros and some cons. ​

Thunder :
Pros : High Damage , high attack speed
Cons : Luck based ( Crits)

Water:
Pros : Low Cost on Spells, Mana Regeneration, Okay attack speed
Cons : Lower damage than alost any elements

Air:
Pros : You are faster, high attack speed, often with mana regeneration, giving you Agility and Dodge chance
Cons : Probably the lowest damage ingame, low health

Earth:
Pros : High Damage , okay Health on Items , no luck for damage
Cons : Slow , slow attack speed

Fire :
Pros : High HP , okay Damage , high hp regeneration , giving defense
Cons : Slow , often damage debuffs on items.

Okay, you found out what elements you like ? Nice ! So lets get straight to the next point.
The Type of the build
This is where most people struggle and are getting problems with their builds.
Alot of the builds that ive gotten as suggestions or seen ingame are not balanced,mine including and that is okay as long as you use a special type of builds.

There are 4 types of builds if it comes to elementals.
The Twilemental one ( using 2 elementals)
The Trilemental one ( using 3 elementals)
The Quadlemental one ( using 4 elementals)
And the Rainbow one ( using 5 elementals)

However I do not recommend the Quadlemental one because they just aren't good. They feel unfinished most of the times and there is almost nothing that supports 4 elementals.

Here are the pros and cons of the types of the builds :​

Twilemental:
Pros : Easy to make , cheap most of the times , good for starting the build making
Cons : Pretty onesided , has a weakness to certain elements most of the time

Trilemental:
Pros : Pretty strong, almost no weaknesses if you make them correct
Cons : Probably the hardest to make

Rainbow:
Pros : Easy to make , good against almost anything , Can be used on any class almost
Cons : Pretty boring , almost every build is the same

Found out what you want to build ? Nice !
Lets get to another important point now.
What elements work together ?

This one is tricky since almost every combination of elements work together.
To understand that easier, you have to know what the elements do and what they are good or bad with.
Let me say something before we get deeper into this :
Some builds may work even if they dont fit the creteria of what I consider a good build !


There are a few combinations that are pretty good and some that are pretty bad.

A few of a good combination for a twilemental build :
Thunder/Air
Water/Air
Earth/Fire

And some bad ones :
Earth/Thunder
Water/Thunder

Why are they bad you may ask ? Mainly because you won't have much defense with them and they also don't work that well together.


You can of course use the ones that I consider beeing bad but I wouldn't recommend it.


After you found out what Elements you want to use you should go over to what kind of build you want.
There are some different ones and this is a list of them.

DPS Builds (Melee/Spell)
Tank Build's
Off-Tanks
Speedbuild's
Spellspam Build's

You have to find the one you like the most and that comes after playing a few builds for a while so don't feel like you have to stick with the one good build you just made.
The Pros and Cons of the build should be pretty obvious.


After you know what playstyle you want to use you should think about some Items that are
- In your Price range
-Good for your Level
- Not giving too many debuffs
- Working with Items you may already have in mind
- Not giving debuffs on stats that you have on other gear

Next off is a point that will be important soon:
The Powder Slots

This point should be kinda obvious. The more Powders,the stronger.
There are some items that are nice even with only 1 or 2 powder slots but I would not recommend using Items with 0-1 Slots because you will have to consider using another Item instead after the powders are out.

And the probably most important point,whatever build you make
Have fun and be proud of it

A build is not perfect if you don't have fun with it or if you aren't proud of it.
Even the strongest , 1000000000 damage dealing builds won't be good for you if you dont enjoy them.





Take in mind, those are not all points but most of them and if you get used to them you will be able to make pretty good builds for yourself,your friends and maybe even more people ;)

This will probably be very helpful to players like myself who can't make a half-decent build for their life.

I guess I can use this to try a dps/speed Air build for my Assassin... (Nobody help me... Okay, I'll accept help but only on skill points.)

 

Go for spell damage and Mana, but don't focus on doing water damage, 0-40-75-0-rest

 

no unless you want to have 98 sp unused you will always have 2 elements

 

yes that is a good point. but for the build and gear purpose the build can be based around 1 element cough every mage

lol no I am not doing that. Even though it is a good idea, I am not going to get the mana buffs, or defense buffs that I want.

 

Hey, since mages melee dmg is shit they have to be spell focused. The only decent melee weapon is Gaia but that's rare and expensive so mages rlly have no other choice. But Manablast Mage FTW!

Well stratus gives mana steal, that's decent , You can replace Saggitarus for greaves of the veneer I guess

 

manablast is a good wand.
I was trying to say that making their build water/def or water/agi would make it so much stronger if they would just sacrifice some mana

 

I used to do the water/air but then I discovered Manablast and I've liked it ever since

 

yeah manablast is probably better. I liek monster tho even though I am not a mage lol...

 

Monster is rare and bad... Trust me I've seen it used

I'm thinking of making an Earth/Fire/Air archer built around consistent damage with the normal arrows. Probably going to use something like Cluster for the weapon, any suggestions on the points? Im thinking 100-0-0-23-75.

(I am bad with points so I expect to be wrong, pls help me)

 

I suggest using Chestplate of Inpetitude and I'd take some points of strength and agility and put it into defense

Hmm I guess my mana regeneration build is doing very little damage (about 4-5k per meteor)

 

The problem may be your leggins. Crystal/ectoplasm ?

Try Vaward or somethin like that instead for more damage and more utility
