How to go past the chunk cap on 1.12.2?

    I've seen that you can bypass the 10 chunks cap on other versions, namely 1.17. But I like 1.12.2 as it is the least buggiest for me, and I was simply wondering, is there a way for me to play with more chunks? Any mods or extensions?

    the dynamic surroundings mod or wynntils are both for 1.12.2 and use cached chunks to load further chunks in multiplayer if you have already loaded those chunks before
