how to get a lot of runes?

i see people in AH with stacks of rune and i can't even fine one .
how do people get all that much runes?

 

for nii and az runes I don't really know how people get lots of them. I guess some people have too much time and run around the light and dark forest. For uths you just buy/grind a ton of avia feathers, then use the uth shrine in corkus or aldorei and kill the uth guardians. For tols you use the tol altar in se to turn uths into tols

 

to be more specific, in SE you can turn 4 nii into 1 tol, or 2 uth into 1 tol. there's another altar in the sky islands where you need 6 nii/3 uth for 1 tol

 

Running the upper level raids like NoL and TCC also tends to give a moderate amount of runes for Uth and Nii and while you get some Tol runes especially from TCC at least in my experience don't break even from TCC's Tol Toll. For Az you just gotta play the lotto waiting for some to spawn around olux and the swamp area.

 

i swear it just triggers me when people refer to the trade market as auction house.
