How important professions really are ?

To this day I never really grinded these 'cause I found it pretty boring.

Right now I'm lv 55, and I wonder a few thing

How important is it really ? (Like, if It's mandatory after a certain level)

How long is it to level up ?

To those who wonder, yeah my current playstyle is going full caveman mode and just killing stuff then picking up shit that lays on the ground.

 

I mean, I don't have them maxed, but it gets like really grindy at certain level also they're completly optional at every stage of the game

 

Never mandatory. Although for lootrunning at post-content endgame (which is optional in itself) you kind of need crafted gear, you can just buy that from players and don't need to craft it yourself.

Much longer than combat levels. Especially after level 80 it starts becoming a real drag if you don't get into a server with profession bombs.

Some quests have profession requirements, but they shouldn't be too hard to meet

At max it’s level 20, pretty easy especially compared to later levels…
