How do i cast spell quickly?

I've seen players repeatedly spam from R-R-R to R-L-L in a matter of seconds. Do they use some sort of mod or just a really good gaming mouse?

You can use macros which, as shacers said, binds your spells to a single button/mouse click, allowing for quick-ish casting. Most people are just generally very fast at casting spells with practice, outpacing macros. Macros are really only suggested if you're lazy/slow at spell casting

 

As an Acrobat main, I can definitely say that repetition makes rapidity.

And as someone who rather constantly is switching between classes, I've definitely ended up trying to use Lacerate on my shadestepper, trying to use R-R-R to cast Escape on archer, and feebly attempting to use Heal as a damage spell. But I can also say that the more you play a class, the easier it gets to use.

By about level 50, as said before, you typically are well on your way to getting spellspamming nailed down.

As someone who used to use Wynntils, I hated the quick-cast macro buttons. They just messed with my rhythm far, far too much, and the versatility of deciding what spell you're using halfway through casting it is awesome. Plus, using regular casting keeps your main attacks from messing with your spells. But hey, if you like them, than you do you.

There's also specific practice for spell combos. For example, I believe that R-R-L-R-L-L-R-L-L (ice meteor meteor) was very popular for mages before 2.0, and maybe even in 2.0 (I don't arcanist). Repeatedly practicing spells when you have a lot of downtime makes casting easier. One example of this is Acro flying - it seems confusing at first, and you don't want to rely on it much, but as you get better you end up finding yourself paying more attention to the Sky Islands music than the fact that there's not a floor within 50 blocks of you.

No they actually just click fast. You’ll be able to too if you do it for long enough
