Hopper Woes

hey guys, i played this game for a short while a few years ago and then recently returned on a new account quite recently and am amazed how much the game has improved.

I love the questing and RPG elements

I hate the hoppers... even a small amount of server lag will sometimes reorder the items in my inventory slightly such that if I move an and then quickly drop the thing i just reordered, the thing which was originally in that slot will drop instead. IE switching out my horse for a boatpass and then accidentally paying the shipwright my horse to go to llevigar............. ugh
Or accidentally including my water element weapon in the payment needed to activate a boss altar.......

I don't know if there could be some sort of workaround or something that prevents this happening, like using command blocks that detect items being on the ground rather than hoppers so I could simply drop them on the ground and have only the correct items be taken, but if that were something possible, then I would be having a much better time of things at the moment. (the horse thing happened yesterday, and the water weapon happened like an hour ago)

Wait a sec after moving something to make sure it doesn't get jiggled about.
still not the best but very playable

 

put your drop key on something you never accidentaly press like BACK

i dropped a nirvana, weathered, white horse and many other stuff in the void

 

My Joker, Fissure, and Skyfall all succumbed to the mighty hoppers.

 

Did you guys know you can open your inventory and drop items by clicking on them (pick it up with your mouse) then clicking again outside of your inventory window? It's way safer than trying to use Q or whatever key you've set your drop to.
