I'll just leave the question here for those that have a much greater mathematical prowess or have more time on their hands than me.

What is the most efficient way to powder a hive weapon (5 slots) that archives about the same damage for each element?

So each element has to be close to "even", so things you have to consider are:
-The neutral percentage that is being converted.
-The raw elemental damage will be added from each powder.
-The order of the powder to be placed.
    -The tier of the powder.
-It must use one of each element type

And If possible find the equation for the most efficient powdering.
Not required, but what if you want to have even neutral damage and full rainbow damage?

just check the powder chart and take around 20% for each element
for spells, check the natural conversion and work around that

There was a rather old friend that covered this, I forgot its name and I can't find it.

    Should be about this

What I'm confused about is why is the thunder damage on the arrow bomb so low? The calculations don't make sense.

You may be able to do a little better.

I think this (A5-W5-F5-T5-E6) is the best conversion for rainbow-element, although this (E2-W4-F3-A4-T5) is slightly more accurate
I don't see any reason to keep neutral damage but I guess this (W3-F2-A3-E1-T4) would be pretty cool

Depends on the spells. Spell conversion varies so you can't get perfect rainbow across all spells (and it's a bad idea anyway, you're better off going small amounts of rainbow with focus on a single element).
