Aka Qira does what Bob/player was supposed to do
Well, they certainly pushed quite hard...but not good enough. They aren't the one.
She had invited them to her combat chamber to test their mettle...and unfortunately, as much as they had impressed her throughout the Hive, it seems as though this contestant wasn't quite up to snuff where it counted. Qira ensured herself to be a relentless opponent...and the fool threw themselves into her room without a second thought. They had taken days of rest between each division before- She kept close tabs on this one, some warrior from Wynn... They seemed level-headed before. Changed their equipment between each division, grew stronger and more canny with each battle. Never far from a solution, they were- Even against the bewildering flurries of the Psychomancer, the blistering speed of Gale, the mindless destructive power of Genesis, the calculated deluges of the Judge, the practiced expertise of the Vanguard, they had an answer. Pulling out new weapons and different tactics to bridge the gap of power. Such a mind deserved to be put to the test...
Perhaps the excitement got to their head.
And when she offered them a challenge...she barely had time to ensure that her magical dampeners were firmly in place before they rushed into her room, "ready" to fight. She hadn't even been able to prepare her combat drones, in the end. That element of surprise amounted to nothing. Their brilliant tactics for naught, exchanged for a glorious, terrible, useless blitzkrieg. Their confident, ecstatic expression quickly withering in fear as they realized their weapons did nothing to her, regardless of what how many they pulled from their stock. Mere scratches against her elemental barriers that dissipated in short order. With nothing but a sigh of resignation, she began to fight back...and found their endurance flagging immediately. They stumbled fearfully around her arena, barely managing to stay on their feet after only a couple of attacks landed. Silent still, aside from their labored breaths...
It may have been a mercy to end them, but still quite a waste. They may have done better outside of battle.
Soon enough, they were completely unable to move, paralyzed by pain and injury. They looked up at her from the floor in, perhaps, the same way a pig looks at a butcher standing over them with an axe. That sort of resigned fear, that they knew their efforts were for nothing. Their life ended there. And indeed- A quick swipe with her stave knocked the last remaining life out of them, and what was a promising mind and a skilled fighter became nothing but useless meat and metal to be scavenged and recycled.
hey wait a moment i didnt die during qira qira got destroyed totally didnt get carried
bump ahha bump
I have a weird theory
Qira used to fight for the light in the war of the realms, and eventually escaped the nether (probably through the nether gate, s̶t̶a̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶w̶a̶y̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶o̶r̶t̶a̶l̶ i̶s̶ ̶w̶h̶y̶ ̶s̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶f̶u̶s̶e̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶o̶ ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶W̶y̶n̶n̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶c̶o̶l̶l̶e̶c̶t̶ ̶p̶e̶n̶g̶u̶i̶n̶s̶) and made it to Gavel, where she is building an army which she will eventually use to try to end the war of the realms somehow.
The "Her, that damnable girl" is Lari, and the "Him, the maker, who made his theory" is probably Orphion. "She should have known after what it took to escape, that it would never work. Too deep, too far, too harsh" is referring to how she escaped the Nether, where light and dark were fighting, and how even after escaping and sailing across the ocean away from the portal she still cannot escape the war of the realms, what with how the villagers called on her to end the decay.
Buuut, that's just my theory.
And then they came back the next day because Death has decided the player can't die.
I am aware that both of those posts are very very dead, but I'm reading through the entire thread for the first time right now, and I thought it'd be fine to respond since the thread is still very much alive.
This is very VERY flavorful, yet so ironic with most played experiences at the same time xD
