help with craftmas chaos

Hello, I was doing craftmas chaos and had killed santa and got his cloth in the other timeline/future. I then died to another santa because I didn't have potions to heal. Once I respawned I was back in the present/normal timeline, and I'm not sure how to get back. Whenever I speak to tom he just says to go east to santa's village, but the tracked quest still says to kill santa and bring a piece of his cloth to old tom. Need help.

 

You have to go back to Santa in his village and go through the portal in the fireplace behind him like you did at the start of the quest, and then go through all the same steps again to get back to old tom
