Help With Aldorei's Secret Part I [spoliers]

Ok, im still in the search for clues stage, and im pretty sure ive found all the evidence.
I've:
gotten the sunflower seeds
gotten into both the room under the waterfall (where you jump in lake and hit button) and where you enter the color code to get in
ive gone to the win cellar and seen kaeli is next
ive gone to the house of who was "doomed" (kaeli)
ive talked to elrund and the other npcs a whole lot
ive gotten the hint that the seeds of our people are the key
and the room where you enter the code into said to put the key into the golden square, except, there are invisible blocks in the way. I've tried using the button near the redstone block, waiting till night, weighing all the pressure plates, tried jumping over, but i just cant

so...
wtf have i not done because it wont let me throw the seeds into the square

throw seeds into the yellow squares in kaeli's place. if something happens, you'll know

 

already finished m8, turns out i was in the wrong house (npcs wouldnt spawn in and couldnt remember whose was whose)

 

The seeds arent spawning, when are they going to fix this bug?
