!! The Wiki needs your help !!​

I think that everyone who reads this has used the wiki at least once, some of you are even regular guests. But how many of you did you do something to help the Wiki? Propably not, although the wiki needs it. The game evolves bringing and changing many things for you to enjoy. In order to stay helpful (updated) the Wiki needs editors. "Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country" - JFK. Now take the quote and replace "country" with "Wiki".

Maybe you are wouldn't be the best or the most active editor of all times, but neither am I or most people I work with. We are just players who decided to help to improve our beloved Wiki.

You don't have to put all your time and mind into it, you can do one edit once a month and it would still be really helpful as long as they are not trolls. Even pointing out grammar mistakes and incorrections does the work. I cannot force you to edit, but all help is greatly appreciated.

So, what to do if i am interested in editing?

Official:

• Official Wiki ToDo - "official" to do for the wiki. The first place to go if you have no idea what to edit
• Stubs - these pages are dire need of imroving, often being only one or two lines long
• Outdated pages - these pages need updating
• Pictures - the wiki needs a lot of pictures
• I would recommend joining the OFFICIAL discord. You can get help there. (link)

Lore:

• Lore-related pages - for those interested in lore. A lot of these pages are old and either stubs or outdated.
• Unofficial Trello board - board for me and my co-workers in the GARFIELP* group
• I would also recommend (if you want) to join our discord to cordinate the work (start a conversation if you want)

Not interested in editing but still want to help?

• Check te pages you like and tell us if you see any grammar or factual mistakes. You can post it here, in coversations, discord (TrapinchO#2916) and even in-game if you find me online.
• Tell me bits of lore or interesting information that aren't on the wiki. (serious only please)
• Here send any corrections you would like to see on wiki.

Basic tips for editing:

• Try to alwyas write summary - this way we know what were your edits about
• Make an account - especially if you want to edit the wiki several times, it makes you more trustworthy as saves us at least some work.
• Provide sources - provide only facts from trusted sources, so we don't have to check it more than once.
• If you don't know something, ask for help - the community is really helpful. You can also look at the gamepedia help page

Is there a demand for translation work? I'm Czech and I have a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and I'm also currently teaching English via courses, so I think that I would be able to efficiently translate all quests (or even all contents of the wiki) into the Czech language if such thing would be ŕequested.

 

Not sure how much it is requested for Czech language, but it definitely won't do any harm if you do it. If you want, join the wiki discord and in translation hub you will recieve more instructions.

Currently, you can translate only quests. (You wouldn't be able to translate 2.7k pages)
