SPOILER Help. May Have Broken The Hunger Of Gerts Part Ii

So I was in the middle of the quest, at the part where I was supposed to talk to the captured Gert.
I did, and he told me to go upstairs to turn off the power. My quest book said that too.
But when I tried to go upstairs he said I needed to talk to him first, but it wouldnt let me talk to him again.
I have already tried switching servers and trying again, to no avail.
Plz Help.
