This is a feature, and I'm using it.

    HELLO!

I have played on this server a little bit last year, but today I made a fresh start, and am now committed to being at least semi-active. If my mid-low-end PC allows, I might even stream on Twitch playing this server.

    Welcome!
If you have any questions or troubles just ask and I will try to help!

Friendly tip: Professions suck. They are just MASSIVE grind with no real reward until late endgame.
2nd friendly tip: Use 1.12.2, it is less buggy. (It also allows you to install good performace mods)

Thank you very much! I probably will need help in the future.

Hmm... Lots of grinding is okay... But no real reward until late endgame? Are you saying I won't make it to the end game? I assume I'll get a big advantage if I work on professions. I want to be able to make top tier armor for everything, because that's my endgame play style. Sure, its a massive grind, but then when a new boss is added I can take a look at him, die, and then equip myself and party members with the ideal equipment to beat him.

I first started playing Minecraft on a really old PC a week before version 1.10 came out, and it ran the game at an average 20-30 fps. Because I was an absolute noob, I spent two or three years losing games on Hypixel running at sometimes 15 fps. Frequent lag spikes were also common. As a result, I still consider 7 fps decently playable; after all, high end PCs in the 1990s ran games at 10-15 fps, so all good.

I am no longer a noob to Minecraft; a few months before 1.13 came out I learned how to use mods with Forge, and there was also a new PC upgrade, one that would run 1.13 at 40 fps, a big upgrade for me. Although I didn't use mods heavily until I got my current PC, I did manage to learn that Optifine was the way to go, and to this day it's the only way to get higher end stuff like Wynncraft to run at 60 fps, and to get a OBS to get a good capture. Wynntils is pretty good too for Wynncraft, as it compiles all the allowed "cheats" into one package. (I really like minimaps).

I have gotten to combat level 16 on a mage (since I deleted my old profile and started my new one yesterday, and twice the minimum level of my next quest), and there are some issues I will address, even though they're totally on my end. The first is my ping. Even over an Ethernet connection, my ping can vary wildly from 30 to 10000 ms. And yes, I said 10k. If you don't know, ping is the amount of time it takes for packets (of data) to make a round trip from your computer to the server and back. Sometimes it's really good and I can one shot a spider instantaneously, but sometimes I can open a chest and have to wait like 10 seconds before it opens (and then the server might wonder why it's getting movement packets for ten seconds after I should have been standing still looking in a chest). I had to switch to Wynntil's music player because the music is so irregular. If I remember correctly, Hypixel's Turbo Kart Racers had a similar music feature, and I had no issue there (even over the same ISP). The other is the forest west (I think) of Ragni. It brings my fps way down probably because of the trees. It's fine for me at least, but I do much prefer 60 fps over trying to hit a spider in the treetops at an fps as low as 10. Any possible ways to improve?

OH MAN THIS REPLY WAS SOOO LONG WHAT AM I DOING...

No, I didn't say anything like that

Not it isn't. Non-craftes gear is much more available. Crafting is usually specialised on loot quality sets, xp consumables and other like that.

Yeah, that sometimes happens. I had 14k few times

    New mods?

Not playing Wynncraft I guess? :)

I see. However, the higher your profession level, the higher quality materials, and therefore useful items, you can get, right? Loot bonuses can also give you a higher likelihood of getting better items from bosses, and I guess a higher chance of mythic weapons. Being able to craft high quality consumables would be a great emerald saver, as over time you can save emeralds to buy other things (Idk what you can buy that you can't craft though). What do you think?

Oh man. How can the server say it has 0% lag then?

I'll take a look and see what else I can do. I have heard of other performance enhancing mods, but whether or not they're compatible with Optifine is a different story. Things they do the same might clash and crash your game.

Nope XD. I have other things to do in Minecraft besides Wynncraft. If I spent all my time playing Wynncraft, people would start to wonder why I'm not getting any work done, both irl and in Minecraft itself. As a developer (specializing in resource packs) for a server, things must get done.

I finally figured out why I seemed to be leveling about twice as fast as the quest line... Because I am lol. Double XP weekend (until the 30th?).

I am not going to prevent you from doing profs. Just remember you can stop doing them if you want.

I think it does show it to make all ping indicator nice and green

Okay then. I'm probably going to focus on combat mostly though. I can see they're a massive grind of such I don't have large amounts of time for, so it'll be a while before I'll do any maxing. Thanks for the infos.
