Hello And Elemental Question

Trying to kill some pigmen, but how do I, by playing the game, what the mobs elemental weaknesses are?

Only certain mobs like bosses show their weakness.

 

Since they are most likley fire mobs, they weakness would be water

 

Mob elemental weaknesses is kind of like Pokemon, weak to some, resistant to some. Elements can also work to improve basic stats, such as defense, and spell cost (Fire/Water) This begins to increase at a certain amount, and then this number decreases over time. There's way more into elements, but eventually it will all make sense.
