Haven't Played This Game For Some Time, Wanted To Get Some Tips About Mages

Stopped playing a while ago but I didn't know what I was doing either way so I would love to get some tips about early game mages!
-What stats should I focus on and what stats should I look for on armor and weapons?
-Is there any professions I should pick up as I level up?
-Is it worth crafting my gear or just depend on RNG drops?
-Is it worth joining a guild?

Any help would be very appreciated!

 

For skills, you should put skill points into whatever you need for armor + weapons, then dump the rest into intelligence. Intelligence is really good.

If you haven't finished the game yet don't bother with professions (unless you want to do it.) They're a grind.

Joining a guild doesn't give you any actual benefits, but it is pretty fun.

 

Whatever build fits your playstyle. I personally think mage tends to be the best with high intel for cheaper spellcasting and better heals.

If you want, all of them are profitable I guess? I wouldn't.

I'd go with RNG, but if you like grinding, crafted is good.

No. If you just wanna chat it's nice and all, but unless you really want to get into warring, there's not a ton of appeal.

 

Guilds will get you in touch with other players and can be very helpful in learning the game
But, some can be very involved, so if you don’t play a lot it may not be worth it

also, for mage don’t cast another meteor spell until your first meteor falls. It’s best to switch cast stuff. So like Meteor-ice snake-meteor-heal you get the picture
I.e casting meteor while another meteor is falling will cancel the first cast

 

Look for high mana regen/spell damage if you can and try and put spare skill points into intelligence.

It may not be that important at lower levels but spell cycles are really important (don’t cast the same spell multiple times in a row).
