Guilds And Wars

First, I've tried looking for this before and asking people but I can't find out what Wars are, the point of them or the benefits of having territories. Any help would be appreciated. On that same note, are there any especially good guilds? One that have a good rep or bad rep, any info would be nice. Thanks in advance

 

Only players with a certain rank in a guild can actually start wars, but everyone in the guild can join them. During a war you get teleported to a subarea that is an exact replica of the terretory where you fight mobs. Owning a terretory does not grant any extra rewards and is purely cosmetic (from what i know). As for guilds wih good/bad reputation i dont know.

Wars serve beneficial to a guild because territories have benefits in the process of leveling and gaining emeralds for a guild. Per territory you own, you gain 1/5 of all emeralds dropped within that territory including 300% (x3) of all the experience points earned. That being said, territories serve as the most efficient way to quickly gain those resources and level one's guild. Emeralds earned go to your guild bank, which no money can be taken out of, however you can add money to your guild bank via /guild contribute. The warring feature in general is just a competition aspect to guilds, allowing guilds to compete over one another for power on the Wynncraft map, not all guilds participate.

A guild has an option to place a defense of mobs on their territories, which cost emeralds from your guild bank. Mobs range in ability and skill, however the lowest mob level is level 50. A guild can place at max 1000 mobs. The more players you have in a war, the faster mobs will spawn, thus making you more efficient if you have a larger team.
