Guild Promotion

I'm about the only active member in my guild, but my guild leader recently logged on. I want to be Chief so I can kick the inactive members and invite new ones, but when he tried promoting me, it wouldn't work. I changed my name for about a month awhile ago, I'm wondering it that could be the problem.

as long as you were still in the guild when your name was changed, you can't be kicked or promoted iirc

 

Yes, that's most likely the problem.

 

Guilds are currently bugged, the most bugged system to ever be added in Wynncraft yet, as some huge bugs appear in guilds, changing your name will make you unable to leave, rank-up or get kicked.
It's already stated in the wikipedia that the guild system is so bugged and some bugs are listed in there

There is also a list of bugs I'd like to mention (Not mentioned in the wiki) so everybody can know:
+ Some mythic weapons don't work at all.
+ Guild mobs don't always show.
+ Players don't get teleported to the war zone sometimes.
