Media Grian Migration

As some of you guys may know, the Grian Network shut down a few weeks ago. As such, the players of the Grian Network, myself included, are trying to revitalize the community through a great migration to Wynncraft as a way to keep in contact with the players. If you have any questions, Grian Network users, do not hesitate to ask me, and if other players say that you can ask them, go for it.

I have a question, isn't true that most of your fanbase is like 8 to 11 or some young number? Heard it from somewhere but I want to validate it.

EDIT: Are the people migrating the people of the forums?

 

Why did it shut down? I didn’t hear anything about it.

 

They couldn't pay for the host, Grian Network was operating at loss for a very long time and made little to absolutely no money, It came to a state where Grian even used a bunch of his own money to keep it alive and eventually it just became a "Paralyzed Child", The server wasn't really growing when it comes to playerbase either, So they shut it down.

They said they're gonna refund anything bought in the store in the last month though.
And Grian is gonna open up a public server thing for a month with everyone's builds on it so they can recover them since a lot of people had builds that took months to make on that server, Would be a waste if they were just lost (At least I'm pretty sure he's planning on doing that, Based on what I was told).

 

As @LordMuttonChops said, the server eventually was operating at too expensive a price, and being propped up with Grian's own money. The server will not be opening again, although refunds will be available to any purchase bought within the last month. A temporary Creative server will be available for a time, about a month. @H0Y0Y0Y0Y0B0Y the people from the Grian Network are, in fact, migrating to both Wynncraft and the forums. Among them are many of my friends. Also, the Network was comprised of fairly younger members in part, but make no mistake, there were plenty of mature players there anyway.

[Edit] To any players wondering from the G-Network, no purchases made before the last 90 days may be refunded. We do urge you however, not to attempt to refund anything if you do not wish to, as any money left over will be spent to either prop up the temporary Creative server that will be available to the public, or whatever else they spend it on.

 

I get what you say. It is indeed sad that the Grian Network got shutdown.

Altough I only play Minecraft for Wynncraft.

 

I've never seen any server that I've been a major part of at any point suddenly shut down. But I can imagine how you guys feel, so have my condolences. Although the physical entity is gone, but hopefully the memories of it will continue to stay.

tbh ive been there a for a big while and they are actually very nice
they keep their "YAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYA" said but most of them where very nice when i was there
so yeah, i did say the only thing they can hurt us in is in excess of energy in literally every post

 

@jpresent is doing all he can to open up the temporary Creative. Grian is also no longer affiliated with the Creative server, it's been a failed project of his. jp got all the files, and he's obviously trying to manage both Wynn and an extremely stressful failed project.

@LordMuttonChops quick correction, it will no longer be any Grian involvement, as far as I am aware. He needed to leave the project, and so as far as I know, jp recovered as many active files as he could and is attempting to set up the server. Do not, I repeat, do not quote me on this, but one of the planned IPs will be jpres.net I think

As sad as it is to see the Grian Network shut down, I'm almost 95% sure majority of the community came from Wynn if not they've possibly played Wynn a few times, but I guess this is for those who haven't on which case, Welcome to the World of Wynn

Forums are a place to talk to people. Let people communicate, she is trying to do good and is not breaking any rules in the process nor being annoying.

You all don't have to worry about us, we aren't trolls or anything like that. Not everyone in the community was able to migrate to Wynn. We lost so many friends, so many amazing, kind people. Grian.net was like a 2nd home. Our community was like a huge family full of the most splendid people I have ever met. We all appreciate the kindness you all have given us during this horribly depressing time. Thank you.

To continue with the talk of another server, jpresent is planning a server called GaiaMC. For what I know, it will have basically the same things as Grian.net, but it would probably have more things added to it. All leaderboard and general stats are will there too, which I general was so happy about XD.

 

I really like you guys. Most of you displayed an impressive levels of charisma. I really enjoy your prescience and talking to all of you. It's refreshing. I hope you stick around for at least a bit longer.

I can definitely see that. That's how I feel about Wynncraft too, a 2nd home. I can't imagine how I would feel if it would close all of sudden. That's the reason I feel sorry for you guys. It sucks.

The closing of the server was kind of abrupt ; I logged on the server one day and everyone was talking about the server closing, and a few hours later it was closed. I just had time to see that a lot of people were going here, so I decided to join them.

These people will affect more than just themselves. This is an entire server migrating to wynncraft. They'll likely be here to stay for quite some time, so getting to know some new faces before you see them in-game is nice. Definitely deserves more than a profile post.
