SPOILER Gray World? (beyond The Grave)

This is just something I'm wondering about while I made the "beyond the grave" quest
In deaths realm the grass,trees and well.. everything that is normally green was gray. I checked the biome and tested it on a private server but I still got It to green.. does anyone know how they did It?

 

It's using the resource pack :) they are just re textured blocks. If I remember correctly, the liquid was actually vines or something... Press f3 and point at the block to see what block it really is.

 

f3-> look at the block -> on the right side it should show the block.
I was curious myself and I did that :p
If I remember correctly, gray grass = mycelium or podzol

 

the grey stone brick is monster stone brick if I remember it correctly

And ye, almost all the gray blocks are retextured vines with different data values xD

 

I remember seeing a bit of vine poking out right on top of the nesaak-grass transition, it's on the arch that has a loot chest in it. I saw it before playing beyond the grave, and was really confused :I

 

They just got me to stay there for a while.

 

And that's why we have a resource pack

 

I spent a lot of time there, now all I see is gray... Thanks Death!
