Got an extra quest item and can't get rid of it

Hi,

As I was completing the Arachnids' Ascent quest, and clicked on the Private Cob NPC in stage 2, the dialogue triggered twice. You can imagine this as me skimming the dialogue once trying to understand the storyline, receiving the Military Supply Crate quest item for the next stage, then the dialogue triggering again giving me a second copy of this quest item.

As I went to stage 3 to use my supply crates, only one of them got taken away. Now I have a second piece of junk that I cannot get rid of for the life of me, regardless of how much I try.

I've been encountering this bug of dialogues triggering multiple times a lot today, and most of the time it only cost me a few extra seconds of time to mash the shift key, but this time it permanently affected my gameplay as this will take up one slot in either my inventory or personal bank until the end of time.

Looking forward to hearing the community's thoughts about this and how could I potentially get rid of the useless supply crate.

 

You can delete unwanted quest items by filling every slot of your inventory, replacing the quest item with another item, and throwing out the quest item.
