So I was opening my daily crate, and I got a really cool gear skin, a banana bow. So I got on my archer class to try it out, and it was amazing for about 2 seconds, then I switched hotbar slots and it went back to normal. The skin is only applied when it's in my hand. Am I doing something wrong, or is there any way to change this?

It is supposed to be that way. It would probably be possible to sell skins if they were applied to a specific item.

Well that sucks :( But it's just a skin, it doesn't add any value to the item, why would being able to sell it be a problem?

Its a cosmetic and cosmetics are per player not per weapon. While holding a bow it will show the skin no matter which weapon, but it doesnt show it when you selected another item in your hotbar.
