Media Gavel: Has This Broke Wynncraft?

In this thread, I will explain why I don't like Gavel too much anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love the new mobs, items, and map, but there are some flaws in the update.

First of all, your previous weapons might have gone down in damage. My vile used to do over 100 damage, but now it only does 5-15 and it lost it's mana steal.

Secondly, my Wolf Bow isn't able to use arrow storm, but my Vile can (what I said above. My Vile does no freaking damage anymore.)

Third, there is no third, but I'd like to say sorry if this will make people hate me now. I know there are more bugs/ flaws but I don't have time to find them. Hope this will be fixed/ modified.

 

my friend (nooby lvl 45ish archer) found a sub lvl 40 bow that does higher damage than my bobs mythic daggers
also, multihit with lvl 80 strength and bobs mythic daggers does less than 500 damage

 

well my bow i had before the update something like the bow of wisdom or something like that doesn't work at all and i mean at ALL
tried identifying i was told i can't tried using it didn't work so i threw it out.

but assassin ( as i stated in like 3 posts now) has a buggy spin attack it spins mobs around like crazy and u can't even abuse disease to hit mobs while they can't hit us since they move for disease's duration. My only assassin weapon needed me to take agility over defense :/ so i had to take agility as my defensive stat. Then My armor which never showed up in my inventory was gone so i had to farm it all up but guess what my boots require defense to use :/ so how do you expect me to play assassin fairly if i can't use my spells right since they are buggy (btw multi hit doesn't to KB anymore and mage is the only class that does KB with it's basic attack) the health system is a pain now since it makes u either be mage (which is literally the best class now because of this) so you can heal your self instantly enough health to survive, or forget your playing wynncraft and act as though your playing pot pvp (who needs to collect armor just fill your inventory up with potions while u grind xp since thats all u will ever need. but i also don't really like the new identification process cheaper yes but not in the long run since u waste more emeralds on identifying armor u can't use/are worse than what u got than actually getting something u need. furthermore they sell for crap at the market unless u identify them at that point your barley getting your money back.

on to the bugs i noticed :
skeleton dungeon boss not attacking
ragni guards attacking players (They are put down as enemies since u can't use a scroll near them but are they supposed to?)

 

Kriotus i don't think ur right I'm lvl 37 assassin my multi hit range till 600

 

All weapons are balanced. If something is bad, other side is great.

DO NOT IGNORE NEW IDS PLZ???

Weapons really aren't balanced. I have a level minimum 79 rare assassin weapon; super fast attack speed(not as fast as you would think) that does 0-11 neutral dmg. We really need a fix, bad.

 

In this time, the ids are VERY IMPORTANT. You have to talk to me. However, super fast attack speed? :p

Think about Vile. Bad damage with ludicrous poison :)

 

To answer the question in your title, yes and no. I have already deleted all of my old classes because a cannot go back to them. Almost all of my mage's armour I can't use because it requires a lot on strength skill points and also some agility points. Also my other classes had little on them anyway. Now I'm restarting with a new dark wizard. I have already integrated into the new item system well. So to answer your question, you can't play Wynncraft very well as a high level now. However, if you restart, you can play it easily. Btw, I'm having fun with this new item system.

I love it how a ton.of threads complain about Gavel not working and I'm sitting here enjoying my holidays, thinking, "Atleast I don't have to experience all these bugs when I come back."

 

This is exactly what happened to me.I used to be a level 63 but now i cant wear or use any of my stuff because i need more strength or defense.I deleted my mage because what was the point if I couldnt use anything :I

 

You had to spend skill points and you would be able to wear it.
Everyone's skill points were reset, even I wasn't able to wear my end game before I put some skills into strength and intelligence.

 

Yes but if you put skill points in the things for the armour and weapons, you might not have a good skill set for your class. For example, my staff required intel, all of my armour required strength except blue mask which I think didn't need anything. Also one of the strength hungry armour pieces needed high agility too. So should I have used all of those? No. Intel and strength are now complete opposites because of the new item system. Mage needs intel or it isn't good, but three armour pieces needed strength. So I couldn't continue with these anyway. Plus I'd already planned a reset anyway.

Also, he had almost the same thing. He needed strength and defence. Defence is fine with mage but as I said before, intel really doesn't go well because these things often combat each other in the ids.

 

I think I was really lucky cause the armor I was using only needed levels

 

Skill requirements aren't that high. What I failed to realize at that moment, is that armor pieces give you a certain skills too, so if you invest just a bit into e.g. strength, you can wear the whole set without using your skill points. Also, I think I invested like 10-15% of my skill points before I could wear the whole end set. It's really not that big of a deal.

 

The thing is i have to have 30 strength to just use my weapon plus my armor requires about the same thing.I also knew nothing about the Gavel update so i didnt know i should have identified first so i just put the skill points in to what i did before the update which has no defence so now I have to get 1 LE to reset my skill points.(Lost my LE in the update because of the new slots)But it is fine
