Gavel By Boat

So, before people reply with, "USE THE SEASKIPPER!!!", I think that although it's faster, it only should be used if you are rich. So, I want to know the best way to travel to Gavel using a boat. I would prefer to start in Nemract, but anywhere on the coast would be fine. I am only Level 40, so, I don't want to have to travel to Pirate Cove or anything like that. A map would be great, but some simple directions would be great.

Using a boat takes time. You could have used that time on grinding to earn back your emeralds. I don't really get how not using the seaskipper is saving you any money...

 

Trust me dude, the seaskipper is better in every way. A round trip on the seaskipper is cheaper and takes like a tenth of the time of a one way boat ride.

 

Didn't they make boats cost like, 4 eb? So seaskipper is super cheap and fast compared to boats. I guess the only time you would want to use a boat would be to get to some of those small, difficult to get to islands.

Oh, that might well be right. I think they used to be purchasable for 4 emeralds. I think I got the numbers mixed up

 

I'd use the seaskipper cuz you never know what you get from him.

For example, sea treasures that can be sold, a pirate hook that can be sold...

 

...a bunch of seeds...

Sometimes normal wooden boats also sink. (Happened on 1.9.4 optifine)
And are pretty laggy. They may disappear. (Dunno is this is fixed)
Finally, the map isn't updated with the 1.17 update. It'll confuse you, probably.

 

I would just use the sea skipper, 40em isn't much for someone lvl 40

 

Boats are a lot better now than they used to be long ago, before the Seaskipper was introduced: hence why they cost 2EB now instead of 4 Emeralds.
Ah, back in the day, when you had to have 6 boats and you'd still lose them all...

 

Even then, you can just use your mobility spell to "swim" to the island.

 

Yeah, I know. It does get a bit annoying sometimes, and if you have a melee build which has low mr then it's impractical, but it is still probably faster

 

ok simple maths,
2 eb for a boat
MUCH less than 2 eb for a ticket to Llevigar.

A+ bich.
