Fps Issues - Please Help

I usually have a standard 70-120 fps on Minecraft in general, however recently I have been having outbreaks of TERRIBLE choppy fps around 15 fps, with them being choppy as hell. Do you know what is causing this, and how do I fix it? Please help.

Reduce view distance change settings around and make Shure that the fps cap isn't 15 or anything like that (and turn of vbos)

 

Isn't VBOS on good? Also, my Render is at a maximum of 8, with Unlimited FPS cap.

I turned VBOS off, and I get signifigantly lower fps.

 

Odd I don't know what to do (and most people seem to say to turn vbos off and I crash 4 times as less with it off so yea)

 

I've heard before that having all of your sounds on will cause lag. Its possible that WC's music could cause the difference in performance?

Make sure to force close all other programs you are not using and also if you are experiencing a lot of lag try using optifine. If you use a texture pack try turning it off. If none of that works, what I recommend is saving a backup of your .minecraft folder then deleting it and reinstalling. Hope this helps!

 

VBOS is good if you get more fps
also you said you didn't use any mods so download optifine
turn on Fast math and Fast render in the Performance menu

and if it still is laggy you can turn off everything in Animations and Details
