Forgery Lore?

Title. It seems like a really random place. Am I missing something or is it just not added yet?

 

i'd really like to know too, the forgery is very interesting seeing as it is connected to the corrupted dungeons

 

It exists for gameplay purposes, I guess? That's literally it. The in-game discovery for it only lists its purpose. At this point I'm starting to think that it must just be an example of lore/gameplay separation because the area is just that weird. Why is there a floating island at the center of Gavel which collects odd runes and sends you to a potential future timeline?

Gavel has gotten basically no major lore updates aside from some Sky Islands stuff since Gavel was released, and The Forgery came after Gavel's release. Luckily Grian made a thread asking what was strange about Gavel's lore, so maybe the forgery will change.

and some nerds probably went up there

people probably got all corrupted or decayed with p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-power

some evil stuff went down up there

boom now we have the forgery
