Build Floating Island

recently finished a build for a friend and figured id post it on here and get some a feedback

I'd actually say you should apply for builder! Keep up the good work!

 

It is impressive indeed, all of it except for the arena. The arena's floor needs better detailing.

 

yea its my first time doing a spawn type thing. its to small to do a sizeable pattern so i settled for something simple

 

If you used World Edit or have it highlight the island and do dis:

also do //replace 17:1 17:13

If you are using world edit and voxel do this:
//replace blue_stained_glass wool
/b sb mm
/b 100
/vr wool
/v stone
Right click the island with gun powder
//replace stone blue_stained_glass
//replace wool light_blue_stained_glass

 

Looks really nice and smooth! Those trees are cool but just make sure you can get the 6 sided log (17:13)! Try some stuff with the waterfall. Since it's in the air, maybe have it blowing a direction and as it blows, it separates into fine mist

 

I'll take these into account. I'll atleast change the logs

no.

 

The structure is unnecessary tbh

 

if I was only doing the build for fun I would leave out the structure. It's needed for players to spawn on though which is the only reason it's there

 

It's beautiful , not shaders ?

 

Nope no shaders. Just built it out of render distance of the ground and used fancy graphics and the like.

 

Amazingly amazing.

 

The island itself is good... but the trees. For the type of tree the trunks look a bit thin and the branches look weird and unnatural. Try to make them drip a bit more. And the platform is very underdetailed.

 

Some pretty good island design there, like the leaf effect.
But if you are going to be using jungle leaves for that make sure you have a jungle tree, or your build will look kinda off, or un-natural. This doesn't mind the fact that you can still add these spruce trees you have on your island, its just that I don't like that much either.

 

Just... Yes...

 

The trees look a little weird, and the cob webs around the island look very unnatural. The vines on the outside look kind of weird as well

 

They're clouds and yeah maybe he/she should make it more cloudy... I suggest adding more leaves to the trees. Other than that, good build!
