SPOILER Flight!

Okay, so for those who were in the stream yesterday, we saw airships. My theory is that they'll potentially be used to travel to the level 100 area. Evidence? No problem!

So, the biggest thing that supports this is Salted.

He says he can't goto the end of Gavel by FOOT. Yes, by foot. This means most likely you have to use some form of external travel, such as an airship? Along with this, apparently a tweet said "But how will you travel between the provinces? Surely not by boat." Or something like that. Idk, I never found it. My theory is that airships allow you to essentially "warp" between towns. This would save a TON of traveling time, but it wouldn't be free now, would it? I say that the farther the distance, the more it costs to fly.

Nah. It's probably wrong since in the announcement video, nothing was announced for airships. But there's a chance!

 

In the stream there was also this... Floating island area... With void holes...

 

Well, he can't go through with invincibility, but what about invisibility? Just sneak around the mobs and find a good camp spot to regen, and you're fine.

 

Some people on the stream had wings... Maybe wings?

I was planning on including wings as part of my theory, but I think they're just cosmetic.

 

I'm not sure they would waste their time on a cosmetic item that looks like that, with the flapping animation and all. Maybe they are a hard to come by item with a lot of rarity. I got some pics from the stream.

 

The "Surely not by boats" was sarcastic. Of course you're going to use boats to travel from Wynn across the OCEAN to the Gavel gate.

I was only refering towards the picture. The way I understand is that @Ninjazzzzzz thought that the big airship was used to travel between detlas,cinfras and the sky islands. However you can only use the the small one from Detlas to Cinfras and back after completing Flight in Distress. The Big airship was pasted in shortly just to take the screenshot.

 

Do the quest Acquiring Credentials. You'll figure out what they meant.

To get to Gavel for the first time, boats. Then you can use the airship in Detlas once finished a certain quest to get to Cinfras
