Most of us have done Flight in Distress, aye? It was a pretty neat Quest. Although, @DarkDemonDragon sent me these pictures:
    http://imgur.com/a/9pKi6

This was such a big surprise for me to see. We have Ba'al's badge (You kill him in a quest and give his badge to General Amerigo.), a red crystal (Obtained from the depths of the Volcano in WynnExcavation C.), Healing Water (only obtainable with a special bottle and in a place in the Dernel Jungle. The Mages only give you bottles if it is for medical use.) and lastly, a Mysterious Gemstone. (This one is literally impossible to get, unless there are more of them. Gracen destroys the Mysterious Gemstone in the Lost in the Jungle quest.)

    Are the items connected?
I have no idea. But that's exactly what theorizing is for, right? We can already tell that one thing these items have in common is that they're all used for quests. The Mercenary (Level 28, Ba'al's Badge.), WynnExcavation Site C (Level 55, Red Crystal.), Lost in the Jungle (Level 62, Gemstone Dust.) and Grand Youth (Level 69, Healing Water.).

Ba'al's Badge isn't used for a future quest, it's given to Amerigo.
You get rid of the Red Crystal in the WynnExcavation Site C.
You use the Gemstone Dust to enter Aldorei Valley.
Healing Water isn't used for a future quest either, it's given to Monte's grandfather.

That means the location for the items are Almuj, Troms, Aldorei Valley and in Dernel Jungle. But if the pirates would of have stolen the items, it wouldn't make any sense. We see the Gemstone Dust before giving it to Elrund. So that must mean there are more than one Gemstone Dust, but it's just really rare, like Elrund said.
    • Elrund: I believe it is only found in a distant Jungle in your province, it is extraordinarily rare.
The Gemstone Dust is used to create a potion.
    • Elrund: You come from the Wynn province, correct? There is a purple gemstone, if turned to dust, can be used in order to create a potion that can cure any illness.

If there are more than just one Red Crystal, the pirates might have gone to the Volcano Island and gotten another crystal, or they went to Troms and stole it from the Royal Advisor. But why..?
And the Badge of Ba'al... why would they want it? It really has no good use, except it was used for the Bandit Leader Ba'al... were the pirates planning something?
And about the Healing Water, they somehow must have gotten it on some way from Isfurus. What would they use the water for? Heal somebody, obviously. But whom? Pirate King?

Wait wait, something is taking shape in my mind. The Gemstone Dust is used to create a potions that can cure any illness. So does the Healing Water. The Red Crystal contains a high amount of magic, and Ba'al's Badge is a sign of bandits. We don't really have a connection between the items except for a lot of power, and the Gemstone Dust and the Healing Water can heals any illness. What do you guys think? Have I missed anything?

Oh and, I took some screenshots of the ride in Flight in Distress. When I looked down first, we were above Aldorei Valley, later, when the pirates attacked, we were above Selchar.

Aaand, in the storage room, there are followers of the pirate queen. Why would they follow her? Ba'al's Badge. They're old bandits for him and they saw she had his badge and they wanted to follow her because they're still loyal to Ba'al.

Who are the pirates, do we know that?
Have we actually gotten any information about these pirates, is there any other quests they're involved in except for Flight in Distress? The only dialogues we've gotten from any pirate is from the Captain of the ship.
    • Pirate Captain: You are trying to reach the queen? Take us down? Ahaha, no chance. You have to get through us first.
My first question is, why would they want to bring the queen on the ship? That's too dangerous for a queen. Or is she a queen that likes intense battles? I have no idea. Later, the pirates capture you and you end up in a cell with another prisoner. He said some stuff that catched my eye.

    • Captured Prisoner: I've been a prisoner here for weeks. I was fly fishing when they captured me.
"I was fly fishing when they captured me." Where do you fly fish? At the ocean. The pirates captured him for a few weeks ago when he was fishing somewhere around the ocean between Gavel and Wynn. And he said something else too...

    • Captured Prisoner: I am a locksmith in Gavel, and they have been using me to make their ship more secure.
He must have been fishing at the harbour at Gavel's gates OR at Jofash Docks. (The place where you start the level 90 quest, Fantastic Voyage.) But that wasn't where I was going, what I was thinking of was.. why would pirates capture a locksmith to make their ship secure? Why would they worry? They're pirates, no one dears to attack them! Why would anyone attack them?! I have the answer. The four items. Back to the items again I guess. We all know these four items are very important in different ways. And they all contain power. That means the pirates knew someone would come after them and try to get back the items. So they needed someone who could improve their security. Makes sense, does it not?

    Why/who are the pirates attacking?
Wouldn't it be fun to know why they attacked, or whom they attacked? Well, my first thought would be... "Meh they're just going on a typical raid" but that might not be the case.
Let us start off with why they attacked the two airships. (The one who got shot down and the one we were passengers on.) Well, they didn't really attack our airship, but it would most likely be so. I think I know why they would attack our ship. I saw a guy named "Baron Axel". So a Baron, of where? Baron Axel of Selchar or Cinfras. There is a map on the ship, over Selchar. So he was either going to home or he was visiting Selchar. Could Axel be the reason they attacked?

About that other airship... it looked like a small copy of the one we were in. Was it a private airship by some higher graded person? I don't know.

So, this might be the end of this thread. If you guys feel like it you should visit @DarkDemonDragon's Lore Database thread. (https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/wip-official-database-legendary-lore-database.104806/) He's the reason I took the opportunity to make this thread.

What do you guys think? I'd love to hear what you think!

@Rujala thanks for the mention! Really well done and I'm glad you got to cover everything I was thinking about. If these items are truly canon that means:
Ba'al's Badge - Amerigo was intercepted before handing in the badge or Almuj was raided
Red Crystal - the pirates either have close connections with WynnExcavation or with Royal Advisor Carlos.
Mysterious Gemstone - There are more than one and the pirates mat know of a location where these are formed
Healing Water - The pirates either raided the fountain and forced the mages to give water or they formed some sort of connection with them

Or they have mastered the arts of disguising themselves and befriended the mages and Carlos. I most likely believe they raided Almuj. And about the Red Crystal, close connection to the WynnExcavation? They are the highest rank of Gavel, or were.

The thing is that they act pretty boldly in Flight in Distress, so it seems out of character that they use such covert tactics.

Seeing as all these buildings are being added to, specifically, Almuj and Ternaves, possibly some higher being is recruiting folks?

So. First of all 10/10 great work. To both of you, I would never have thought of that.

I think the most revealing one is actually the red crystal. Think of it.

Wynn excavation. You basically took down Amadel. Wynn Exacavation is more or less in ruins. What is someone wants to bring it back?

First they would need followers. You can find bandits in both Wynn and Gavel. So they are most definitely a large group of people who you could recruit. They would need a reason to fallow you. Having the badge to basically the bandit leader would be a pretty good reason.

You would need to prove you truly are trying to bring back WE. A crystal shard would defiantly be proof of your motives.

The healing water and the gem are very specific. Adlieori Valley is very specific about the gem. Almost too specific. Almost like they are trying to make a point. Crush the gem, and make a potion they could cure any illness. The the healing water could save anyone from basically the brink of death.

    Could you combine those?

Think about it. Use the gem water to turn Amadel back from his corrupted form to normal. And use it to boost the healing water to completely revive the dead? The pirates are trying to revive Amadel.

Various quests have things such as "what do you mean *such and such*"

Out character does speak, we just don't see it.

Yeah, it only happens sometimes. Take the mercinary for an example. The guy says go to almuj. Then says, what? You don't know where almuj is? This ain't the only quest, there are a bunch

Sorry for going so off topic

Considering all the times he fools people (especially in Gavel) he's an expert, he must be a great speaker.

Btw @Rujala about where the Baron is going, I'm not sure if the ship is nonstop but the final location is definitely Detlas. This because the quest drops you off there and going aboard the ship after completing the quest sends you to Detlas.
