If you like this, check out my most supported suggestion here.

    Changelog:

    Contributors:
    - @EchoHatesLag
(Inspired me to add leveling chart and more leveling details)

    Changes:
Added an update on top of the thread.
Added a link to a previous suggestion.
Added more details on how you would level weapons.
Added a chart to explain how much tier each would get

    UPDATE:

I find a lot of people that don't support my idea. Yet, none of them give reasoning. With this, I decided to use the poll only to count supporters. I will acknowledge all constructive criticism, but I will not tolerate people not liking the idea without any reasoning.

    Idea
A way to increase an item’s statistics through constant usage.

    How would this work?
Every item would have it’s own personal level, the level-maximum would be set at ten. Leveling a item would mean that you use it frequently. The higher level a item achieves, the better the item stats. They would naturally increase as you level up the item, much like a horse. Re-identifying could still change the stats, but it would be even more costly dependent on the weapon’s level. I understand how much it already costs, but this could be a sure way of making your items better without any gamble involved.

+ Larger amounts of experience will be gained depending on the level of the mob you’re killing. Mobs higher than you will give more experience.
+ When you kill a mob, your item will gain the equivalent of the experience you get, however it will not be taken out of your ranking percentage.

    How could this help?
For average items, you could potentially increase the stats up to maximum, it will take time and will require quite a lot of effort, but it will be cost efficient and will involve no risk.

How would experience work for different tiers?
This chart may be confusing, so let me explain. The standard a level will take for a Mythic tier would be, as example, ten thousand experience. For every tier below it, ten thousand experience will go further. For a mythic it may be a single bar, but for a legendary it may be a bar and a half.

Mythic - 100% (Normal experience amount)
Legendary - 105% (Slightly higher experience amount)
Rare - 115% (Even higher experience amount)
Set - 120% (Higher experience amount)
Unique - 125% (Even higher experience amount)
Normal - (Wouldn't have ranks since they carry no statistics)

    Specific features?
    - Natural item leveling; weapons, armors, and even accessories.
    - A way to increase any item’s statistics.
    - A reward to using the same item for a long time.
    - Getting an item to level ten will allow you to re-identify the item once for free.
    - Levels would be displayed above the statistics.

Questions and suggestions will be responded to on the main post, please do not say I should change something without giving a good reason.

I really like this idea but I think that when you Re-Identify it it should reset to level 1. I think it would make more sense this way then you would go back to level 10 to with higher stats or lower. Depends on what you identify the weapon with. There could also be a benefit added to when you re-identify at level 10 like a prestige system so it wouldn't just be you pay a lot of money until you get good stats on a level 10 item. This would make it so that you would have a way to spend and upgrade weapons even more with a prestige system. (I personally think that it would buff the minimum lowest number on a stat on your weapon as a perk to leveling and downgrading a prestige weapon.

I like this idea, but can you give us some stats and examples of what you get when levelling it up? For example, per level you gain +1% of it's base damage. Or 1% of base health on armours.

@That_Chudley - Examples will not be made, that stats could vary for each item. I do not want to create an example and it turn out poorly. Things like that can be figured if they decide to add it.

@Agatefruicake5 - I like the suggestion of making the level reset, I'll add that. Thank you.

@Kawaii__Turtle - No reward would be given.

@DaBlueTigerGirl - Item Leveling is not a new concept, there is a leveling system for equipment in Destiny. This is my twist on it for Wynncraft.

I'm looking at this equipment leveling idea like how you level up a horse. I kinda like the concept of this idea, but I feel like it shouldn't be in the game.
As you keep leveling up until you reach 100 or 101, you keep switching equipment until you find the ideal set for you. The idea that leveling up your gear to upgrade the health, defense, or damage without the use of powders ruins the natural greatness of the gear by having someone make it even better through an extended period of usage. It would even make endgame gear too overpowered if the leveling system makes it so that you can reach high or even max on the random stats (xp bonus, damage%, mana regen, etc.).
That's a terrible idea because it would give players a double benefit from grinding; leveling up a piece of gear and finding that same piece of gear to check for better stats.

It wouldn't make endgame gear overpowered at all. All it could do it max the gear, if that. Just because you max a weapon's level doesn't mean it ends with max stats. It depends on where it started at.

His idea was good, your argument against it makes no sense. If your weapon was at level five and you chose to re-identify, it would make sense to reset the level. Not sure why you don't like it.

Good idea, but I think making it so that
    A. Weapons 5 levels lower than you are will level slower.
    B. You can toggle how much XP you want to put into your weapon (like how guild xp works)
    C. The higher tier a weapon is, more Xp is required per level up (to prevent max mythics being everywhere)
eg. A level 96 unique dagger might require 50k Xp for 1st level, but a Weathered might require 400k xp.

EDIT: when trading the item to another player, the level resets to 1 and therefore will not get the usage buff.
However, showing the item in trade GUI will not affect the stats in any way.
+1 if you change a few things Because at the moment this can be exploited for max mythics and break the economy further and devalue good original identifications.

    A. Weapons lower than you should lever quicker, they are less useful in most cases
    B. No. It's not like guild experience, it's like leveling up a horse. If you read everything, you would know that.
    C. I have addressed this before, something would already need good stats to give it max. I would see leveling take something up half a percentage per level, it would be crafted so things couldn't always get max.

    Overall:
I decided that different tiers will be easier/harder to level, unfortunately most of your ideas will not be implemented.

I think there should be a small bonus for leveling up a max or near max item. (maybe a a small damage bonus towards a damage type)

I kind of like it, but I don't at the same time. I'll think about it.
Don't want to mess with damages, I feel like that would be a lot of work to code. I'll think about this as well.
