Quest [elemental Exercise] This Is Either Confusing Or A Bug

Granted, Ragon DOES say that I need to get scorched root from the cave near him. Nonetheless, I got these scorched root from the zombie in the cage nearby. So I'm sure it's not a bug, but it's still confusing that I have the item it requires but because it won't work.

Also, I'm not even sure how to get the roots from the hill. I keep killing it, trying to combine powders with the fiery bow, or wahtever, but I'm not quite sure what to do. So I still need help with that :/

Yes I realize that, like I said in the thread. No need to be sassy over it :(

But why even have them be the same name at all? What if a player doesn't realize what they pick up from the cage until later? What's the point of having it be the same name? Although since it is reportedly a bugged quest I'm just going to hupe/guess that that specific cage zombie's drops are not meant to be the same.

 

The NPC tells you to go into the cave and not get the item from the captured mob again, just like the quest book tells you to do that.

 

Nevermind. I would just like to believe that there are stupider people than me out there and if I was confused than they would be doomed :P
