Elemental Defense

Hey guys, does elemental defense reduce neutral damage?

for example say my armor gave me +20 fire defense, does that mean it only reduces fire damage? Or will it reduce other types as well

 

It will only reduce the respecive element

 

perfect thanks! So is there a reason to put powders on armor? All that i can tell it does is put elemental damage resistance on the armor, it seems like it would be much better spend on a weapon

 

If you have 2 or more tier IV+ powders on your armour, you get a special ability. 2 or more Fire is Endurance, which boosts your fire damage every hit you take, Earth gives Rage, which boosts earth damage per %health missing. Water gives Concentration which boosts water damage every mana used, Air gives Dodge, which boosts air damage per mob you are near, and Thunder gives Kill Streak, which boosts thunder damage per mob killed
