I am utterly incapable of completing the puzzle to repair the dragon bone drill within the allocated time, because 2/3 times nothing happens when I click an iron block. It thus takes me around 20 seconds per colour simply because I have to keep clicking the same block several times. It's especially bad with the higher blocks, as I somehow keep unclicking the blocks immediately below them. I suspect this may have something to do with lag, as both my connection and my computer are crappy.

How can I possibly get past this? I suggest this puzzle needs some work (or perhaps just a longer timer). (In fact I might go as far as to suggest it be removed from the quest entirely, given that it adds nothing whatsoever to the story, and also why would a fighter/adventurer have any mechanical expertise? Just my silly little opinion.)

I don't know if post-bumping is allowed here, but... bump.

I also had problems with unclicking blocks, but that can simply be fixed by jumping and clicking the higher up blocks.

Change versions or temporarily put settings down to the bare minimum maybe? That might work hopefully

Not quite "simply" since the lag still applies. It takes up even more time and is just as unreliable as just clicking.

Already playing on the bare minimum, and tried in both 1.14 and 1.13.

Try using 1.12. The servers are on that versions, and most clicking-related issues are solved in that version.

The game is supposed to be playable from 1.9 to 1.14+. That being said, I play with 1.12.2 (I think the most stable) and did the quest a couple of times without a lag issue on the puzzle.

Well now I'm stuck in a completely different way. While I was stuck in the puzzle (before I posted here), I killed myself to get out. Now I can't interact with the bone drill anymore and there aren't even NPCs there, even when I go through the Maex secret headquarters to get there. Erm. Help.

(Btw, where even is the Help section on this forum?)

Bump. Somebody please help me. I don't even know where to check what the command is to "fix" a quest.

The command doesnt fix quests, it only gives back quest items.

So, the NPCs have miraculously reappeared and I can enter the puzzle again. However, the clicking issue is still present regardless of the version I play on.

Edit: WELL, don't I just feel like a complete fool. I fixed it. I managed to finish the puzzle with no problem at all. All I had to do was remove the staff from my hand... :expressionless: Yes, I know this should have occurred to me immediately. I am a total derp. Please forgive me.
