Looks nice, but the vast expanse of lava is letting it down a bit in my eyes. It draws away from the lovely detail you've done on the walls and centerpiece. Just the feel I get anyway. Nice job :)

Looks awesome but the flat lava floor makes my stomach turn... It could really use something to break it up, possibly some stone pieces or broken pillars.

 

I'll probably replace the lava with coal blocks.

 

my one complaint is that there's a lot of empty space around it, which I'm sure you were going for, but it would look better if the room was a circular shape like the arena itself, then the empty space would compliment the arena rather than the corners drawing attention away from the arena.

 

That wouldn't really fix it
Try adding broken ruins or lumps of blocks throughout the expanse to break it up for the eye to handle
Just a suggestion though, you don't have to change it. :)

 

Did you use world edit?

Either way, you are talented :)
