Does The Stats On An Az Matter?

I got an Az a couple of days ago, the stats are not the best and nor the worst.
I have heard some people say that the stats on Az does not matter as much as on a lot of other weapons/ armor, but is this true?

 

Relatively , not as a pure (where damage spells is all ).

 

Does that mean that an Az is less dependent on its stats?

 

Yes. Because the ID's are kinda minimal. Obviously good ID's are preferable. But the other mythics have huge ranges.
Examples:
Guardian - You can either get really good HP or really shitty. This dictates the price
Grimtrap - You can either get really good Poison/life steal, or really bad lifesteal/Poison. This also dictates price.
Freedom - Huge range for Spell Damage. 2/4 Mana is twice as good as 1/4 mana

 

This is true^
The thing that makes Az good is its damage and not its ids. This means thunder damage the only important id.

 

Mine has 4% thunder, not great but...I'll take it :)
