Does Courage work on Summons?

Apologies if this question has been asked before, but I was wondering if the Courage powder buff works on things like totems and summons for the new Summoner Shaman archetype. More specifically, if a totem or set of summons are already spawned, and I activate the powder buff, does it apply to all of said summons' damage? Or does it only apply to any newly summoned totems/puppets/effigies after the buff is activated.
