Do You Have Less Spell Damage If You Have High Attack Speed?

Would you have less spell dmg if you had higher attack speed because of how weapons with high attackspeed have less base damage, so on mage or something would it be better to have like a super slow weapon that has a lot of base damage, so the spells can do more damage?

 

There's a spell damage multiplier based on attack speed. High attack speeds get a positive multiplier, Low attack speeds get a negative multiplier. So it all balances out.

 

ohhhhhhhh okay, because i was wondering why ethereal was said to be so good, even though it had such a low base, thank youuuuuuuuu
