Do Powders Not Work On Armor??

Recently I got a papyrus chestplate and I really liked it, and decided to put some fire powders on it to take away the negative fire defence

but when i went to the character menu my fire defence didn't go up
why??

Hi,

You may need to use more powders or higher tier ones. The powders don't directly remove the negatives, but instead add a fixed amount to them. For example, your chestplate has -50 fire defense. One tier 1 fire powder adds 3 fire defense while taking away 1 water defense. That -50 will now change to -47, but you'll also gain a -1 water defense. or tbh it could just be wynncraft being stupid, it's probably taking effect but it doesn't show up on the stats gui

 

Also, please ignore elemental defenses and don't powder your armor. It's bait.

 

well i checked i put 3 t3 fire powders on my armor and the armor piece now says -23 fire defense and -9 water defence, but my elemental defences in the menu are still the same, as if i didn't put any powders at all. my question was do i get the stats and it just doesnt show up on my character menu, or i not get the stats at all?

 

Probably isn't showing. I don't really trust the character menu stats tbh, half the time they don't actually show the real values. Use wynndata instead. Also maybe unequip and re equip the armor, idk.
