[design Flaw] Height Limit Lowered

Nothing else to say and if you test this unwillingly you'll be frustrated. I will only tell staff a certain area that is now unreachable due to this change in design. Also, it is possible to get through the new method used to set the limit, which obviously I also won't disclosed publicly.

not sure if your supposed to tag Admins in these but that is definitely a problem

 

Sorry, but this is something that has to be addressed ASAP. If this was something minor like a random hole in the ground, well then maybe a Mod, but now formerly accessible areas are blocked off because they shifted down the height limit for some reason. It's probably about 100-150 blocks lower than before.

It does not matter. No matter how important the issue is, you are not to tag an administrator. There is a large chance that a moderator or staff member would view this thread and let the administrators know.

I thought they removed it, actually. Because now we just have barriers everywhere.

 

The hard-coded height limit was removed, now replaced with quest regions so that we can manage height differently depending on the area.

 

That's the thing. Instead of the old method that teleports you back, they used barriers, but these barriers are at a lower height than the old method. There's one place that I REALLY want access to that I could always access in the past, but with the new barriers literally keep me an arm's length away ;-; Seriously if the limit was just 3 blocks higher I wouldn't have noticed it.

 

The barriers are at like y=250 that's like 5 blocks below the minecraft build limit.

 

If you want I could literally show you the area. It's an area that is meant to be accessed (like a relic location) and at least 50% of the veterans on this server have been there. Whenever I was there I could definitely go higher as I over shot many times going at least 10 blocks higher because I missed it. If what you're saying is true than either wynncraft shifted up 50 blocks or so (probably not) or something is off.

 

This isn't exactly a GAME BREAKING ISSUE is it? Theres one relic you can't get to. Instead of being vague like "OH MY GOD THEY RUINED THE GAME" you could just say, yo I can't get to a relic anymore, so we can actually fix it.

Height Limit is 124y. The map can go above that limit but players can't.

 

Actually it's the other way around usually. I'm not sure how you're trying to think about it, but in Vanilla Minecraft once you get to the height limit you can keep going up.

btw the reason I don't go straight to PM is because when I found an exploit and PMed about it, I got no response which made me think the staff are getting spammed with notifications atm, so I'd rather made a thread that keeps getting bumped until a staff member sees it rather than adding to the sea of notifications staff get.

 

Noooo. Height Limit on Wynn is a custom plugin where players that go above that height get TPed down. It's always been that way.

 

Sigh... whatever the case is, I know for a fact the height limit is lower and I'll PM any staff member with screenshots with coords.

Like I'm not being a dick here but you are just categorically wrong.

We used to have a imposed plugin based limit of 124 blocks.

We now have no Y limit but have added barrier blocks around the map so you can't physically escape. Like, seriously.
