SPOILER Dern Explained In The Shittiest Way Possible

So basically there is a province out there called dern, which is south of wynn, basically it is the province of darkness while gavel is the province of light.




Dern is inhabited by an enormously powerful beast called "The eye"


Even Qira fears it!

Around it are many black and purple spikes representing how darkness has taken over dern and left it desolate.



However, to get to dern, you have to go through the ROAD to dern



Dern is currently being controlled by an evil entity called the eye, which i discussed earlier. The "Eye" is also the Beast of Darkness and represents dark, such as how orphion represents light.



Bob is speculated to be from Dern (his mother is) which explains his gray skin. You fight bob in "Reincarnation"



the Road to Dern is accessed by a small but large gate near the Abandoned Mines, who found Dern way back when. Sadly it is blocked off until 1.18 when Salted will let us in and I will dominate the entire field.

Bob, before his death in 984 AP, went back to his home to do some heroic shit, he fought the Eye and failed, but before he did he sacrificed himself and sealed it :DDDD

ALRIGHT BOYS PART 2:

so the ancients of wynn walked their asses away from dern and went to the dernel jungle bc they were scared of the eye



So after they fled they found out oabout the corruption and made 4 crystals with it. whoever put them together could kill the entire continent



then after they got away from the eye and maybe fought it with the crystals



they made a language and found new magic and made a whole time travel thing out of it



and then they all died!

so basically light and dark have been at war



The Eye began to lose, so what it did is it had a REALLY REALLY big clash with light and it made a very bad and dark force that jsut helped it called corruption



so afterwards it took over dern instead of trying to be friends with it, it took the holocaust route



and the rest is history
