Archer/Hunter Help Decently Strong Heavy Melee Build

I believe this build is quite strong:

>Armor
-Obsidian Framed Helmet
-Taurus
-Earth Breaker
-Blind Thrust

>Accessories
-Diamond Fiber Ring
-Diamond Fiber Ring
-Gold Solar Bracelet
-Silver Fiber Necklace

>Weapons
Stinger (Earth T6 3x)
Stinger (Thunder T6 3x)

(The Stinger with thunder powder is for healing via lifesteal, by the way.)
IT requieres no EO items so its totally obtainable for anyone soloing stuff like LI / The hive,
And its really good at survivability while still doing enough damage to kill almost any boss.

Yet i get the feeling it could get improved, please suggest somethiung.


Edit: a lot of people were telling me to use atlas... I already have a ton of lifesteal on my stinger ( -_- ) and its kinda bad in every other way.
The Backup plan bracelet might have been better than
the gold solar bracelet,
if agil worked on my build.
Please look at the actual items and take every factor there is into account.

I am currently barely not strong enough to beat the eye solo,
Hoping to change that soon tho.

Try using these bracelets, coz the gold solar bracelet's fire dmg% stats aren't necessary in ur build

 

First of all:
Archer is probably the best for heavy melee. it has a good range, and dosn't have to get close to the enemies, so it wont take much damage. It also has the stinger which is just good for slow melee builds.

Second: To prevent the archer from being extremely squishy, i need a decent defence stat:
Thats why i was going for the gold solar bracelet...
Its increased hp and defence just make me a lot more survivable,
And it makes the build more fun (imo),
As you dont have to be extremely sweaty to use it.

The Backup Plan bracelet and the Flashfire Gauntlet don't really seem better to me, and i sadly threw away most of my hive items (Yes i am dumb), so i cant get the clockwork :o

 

nope assassin 80% vanish buff is unbeatable for quakes

 

Sure, Imagine boosting 125k quakes with vanish :o i never even thought about that xD

 

If you want more stats Back-Up Plan is gonna be better than the Gold Solar Bracelet

Also assassin is better for heavy melee imo, coz with an Archer heavy melee you'll be absolutely fine in EO, but you're gonna get owned by bosses who teleport around a lot

 

Yeaaaa.... no. The only bosses i struggle on in the slightest are YaYha Bot v4.04 (Li, fight can't be sped up) and The Mchorrupter Of worlds (Also LI, too fast, lots of dps on archer), and of course, the eye, cause im bad at video games.


Looking at the backup plan brace again... It has a less hp than the gold solar brace, and only 2 more defence .-. the agility dosn't matter anyway, because of the obsidian framed helmet.
So im basically staying with the gold solar bracelet. I am thinking about replacing the earth breaker with a writhing growth, but the earth breaker just has a lot of neat stuff like,
for exaple health regen, and some other buffs the writhing growth dosn't have.

This is becoming more confusing by the second.
(If anyone says "use altlas" , you better sleep with one eye open...)

Those people love atlas too much I swear they're overrating it

And yeah definitely stick with earth breaker

also give the geyser pit boss a try, that's usually a slightly challenging boss for heavy melee builds

 

Atlas gives sustain that's sorely lacking. It's straight-up overpowered, but that's a symptom of the current attack speed system. It makes solos completely free. There's a reason assassin heavy melee EO is so simple, since you get plenty of sustain (ls and ms for vanish).

Health regen in its current state sucks. The only way it becomes strong is if you build full HPR and HPR% meme, so that you get 15k+ hp/10s. Otherwise it's pretty useless.

Atlas deserves a nerf if the current attack speed system is kept. Saying that it's bad is like saying that heavy melee is bad while not using earth powders, or saying that Assassin isn't the best heavy melee class.

200 ls is nothing to me, my stinger has over 700, atlas bracelet SUCKS i tried it, the stingers sustain with quake is so much better,
Also the mana steal is useless to me cause heavy melee build, get it ? melee not spells?

Heavy melee relies on spells for hit continuity, to deal with e.g. Mechorrupter and other bosses that attack relentlessly (such as with Arrow Shield or Escape). There's a reason Obsidian-Framed Helmet has mana steal.

The 200 lifesteal probably isn't that big of a deal but it's useful.
