Lore/Story Darkness Over Wynn

This is just a story that I'm writing, with new chapters at least once a week. Stay tuned!

PROLOGUE:
Miners have awoken an ancient curse. Nemract has fallen. Ragni and Troms are next. There is nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. Gavel has closed its doors. Wynn is near fallen, and the human race is almost extinct. With no hope left, a desperate plan is put into action. A do-or-die plan. This is the last chance for Wynn.

CHAPTER 1:
Raren paces anxiously. The assasin glances nervously at the gateway. "Halben needs to be here. She must. We can't do this without her." "Do we really need her? Archers are cowards. I say we forget her and move on." says Danem. "You forget, Mr. Warrior, that we need an archer to open Bob's tomb." replies Shanem. "Like we even know where that is." Anything else that might have passed between them ends when Halben runs up and joins them. "Sorry I'm late. My father didn't want me to go." "Doesn't matter. You have my best wishes! Be off!" Announces the king, and the small party continues through the gate, and down the beaten trail.

CHAPTER 2:
Almost immediately, the band encounteres their first problem. Zombies! With no one to deal with them, the zombies had multiplied, and now droves of them awaited to slay any travelers. "How are we going to pass them?" comments Raren. "There's too many. Our journey could end before it starts." "I'll second that." replies Halben. "Nothing's too powerful for me!" cries Danem, charging head-on into the mob. "Danem, no!" screams Shak. But it is too late. Danem disappears under a whirlwind of the foul creatures, and does not resurface.

CHAPTER 3
Things are over already. Danem is dead. His body is not found, but he is most definately dead. "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" wails Shak, Danem's sister. "NOOOOOO! He's...he's...he's...he's gone." And with that, she faints onto the beaten down trail. "Let's get back to Ragni." says Raren. "We shouldn't have done this." What remains of the party slowly trudges back to Ragni in despair. As they pass through the gate, they hear screams. "Pigmen!" exclaims Halben. "We're not powerful enough! We must run!" As they rush towards the exit, they hear awful sounds coming from behind them. Sounds they will never forget. Ragni is down.
