Corrupted Betrayal quest bug

I'm standing at the finish line for this quest trying to pick up the Strange Invitation. I have relogged, I've opened up more slots in my inventory. I can not pick up the invitation and finish the quest.

 

if i remember correctly, the invitation is technically a mob, you have to attack it with a weapon before you can pick it up (as with a couple other similar items in quests)
