Connection Drops?

Hello,

I have quite an odd situation here. I recently got into Wynncraft again. Since 3 or 4 days my (wifi) connection at home simply drops, I've never had this before. I updated/deleted/reinstalled wireless drivers, my phones connection as well as my brothers computer are completely fine, and I figured it was just a router issue so I went to sit closer to my router for the past 2 days.

However, I just noticed today that it specifically only happens when I join Wynncraft (a game server, hub seems to be fine). I join a world, and then my (wifi) connection simply drops, disconnects me and disappears out of reach for a minute or two. When I join another server or do something else, I rarely have connection issues, if any.

So I am wondering, how is it even possible that a specific Minecraft server can just mess up my connection like that?

PS - I prefer not to reset my .minecraft folder (for an eventual fix) yet because I'd like to hear if/how this is even possible to happen.

From what it sounds like, your ping may be extremely high for the server. I believe the server is based out of Canada, so it may be a bit laggy (considering you live in Belgium). I even have connection lag, and I live in the United States...

Typically, very high ping (500+ ms) can create a bad connection with a server, causing it to lag out or in more severe cases, cause the connection to drop. How high is your ping for Wynncraft? (You can check by hovering your mouse over the connection bars for the server.) If it is extremely high, it might be the reason why your internet is dropping suddenly. That, along with the time it takes to load the world, may be creating issues.

One solution you could try is unplugging and rebooting your router. One person from Europe had connection issues and doing that fixed the issue for them. You could also check your internet speed, as lower speeds may create more struggling when trying to connect.
