I know this is probably a noob question, but what is the difference between clean and dirty? An why does clean sell for more? I would think dirty would because it is already identified.

So, as you seem to suspect, a clean item has no identifications, and ideally no powders either. A dirty item can have a combination of the two. Clean usually sell for more as the buyer has the chance to identify/customise it themselves and possibly get better identifications than what the item may of had if it was being sold 'dirty'.

Clean has no item identifier enhancements. So no regen or spell damage or xp booster.

Cleans typically sell for more than dirties unless the IDs are really good.
