Childhood Ruined Theory: Steven Universe

What I'm about to tell you is so shocking that you might have second thoughts on it.

In the half-hour special "Bismuth," where Bismuth is about to strike at Steven with the Breaking Point, Steven tried to get the sword out and at that moment, we didn't get to see it. Just the lava. Now you may think that it was brutal to see it on screen which is why it wasn't shown, but the truth is, is that it has been done on-screen before in "Steven the Sword Fighter." If it wasn't a problem before, then why do that now?

The only reason why is because Bismuth actually killed Steven with the Breaking Point. You may think that Steven managed to drive Rose's sword into Bismuth, but that is actually Steven having a split-moment flash of the rest of the series inside his own head because since he knows he's about to die, he wants to have closure.

And so the rest of the series is all in Steven's head just before he dies.

What's Steven universe? And why is a character named after an iridescent element, the last stable element?

 

While I don't watch this show, I can tell you this theory holds no water, as this type of theory can be applied to any show using a near death experience or a coma or something

 

It's a cartoon.


The characters are named after precious rocks and gemstones (like pearl, amethyst, etc.) (with the exception being bismuth I think)

 

Technically Bismuth is radioactive, but the half life is longer than the current age of the universe
