Character Levelling

Evening,

As a new player to the game I wanted to ask whether exploring the game, doing every quest and dungeon as it opens and grinding in-between is going to slow down progress too much compared to just grinding out monsters?

My plan is to create all four reskinned classes (will be upgrading to Hero once paid) so going to work on a Knight and Hunter for now and do not want to spend too long if it will take awhile to level a single class as I mentioned above if you constantly have to go back and fourth for quests and such.

Mob grinding is faster, but I believe exploring, doing quests and dungeons, and finding secrets is a lot more fun than just grinding.

 

I figured as much. I guess I will find my favourite class and do the game slowly on that whilst grinding on the other three.

Oh, unless I overlooked it, if I purchase an EXP bomb, are these shared on JUST the server you connect to or the ACTUAL server with everyone connected, payday Friday (not Christmas is out of the way) so I plan to drop tons of EXP bombs and such and play for the week I have off.

 

The xp bomb is only available on the server you are on. If you throw one on server 1, then people on server 2 won't get the 2x xp.
Edit: this is true for all bombs, not just xp

 

Thanks for the information, will probably go and drop item bombs and such across servers then.

 

Usually people just shout out that they are doing an item bomb drop party, or that they dropped xp bombs on their server. It makes it easier on you so you don't have to go to random servers and to those who want it they can just switch to your server.

No problem. I'm glad your enjoying the game, have fun leveling new characters. The newest update added some cool new stuff for low levels like discoveries so if you have any time and are interested in exploring the world look up a discovery guide on the forums and check them out. They have a lot of lore behind them and some cool cut scenes. Happy leveling!

Yes, this was the plan with an initial character, taking my time, exploring the map fully and such but I was just curious as to how long it would roughly take doing it this way with a grind at higher levels opposed to just grinding it out but as I said, I will stick to one this way and grind the others!
