Changing The Nether

Many players have mentioned this, but the Nether definitely should not be a PvP arena that noone joins, because it's a rather large realm that shouldn't be wasted, it's an important part of wynn's lore but the realm itself is accessible and is a PvP arena? Just no, it seems like a waste for the Build Team to build something rather large and Grian and other story writers to just let this realm be unused despite it being important, also the Nether isn't even suitable for PvP because its terrain, it's not flat and it has lots of lava and fire which makes it fairly annoying to fight in, also the nether could really need some explaining,because honestly who is this guy? ,even though 1.17 filled us up on Bak'al, it didn't talk about what civilization was living in the Nether before it was torn apart by corruption nor what made it be born in the first place nor who was leading/controlling the corruption, and to be honest, it's more of a mystery than Dern because how old the Nether is and how many loose ends it has, so please, the idea of the Nether being totally fine to access a realm noone enters and comes out not corrupted, but you? You'll be fine.

 

You're right. The nether is the vocal point in the Wynn's story, yet it's one of the least explored ereas of the lore.

Exactly, yet Dern (an entire realm/province) will be added in 1.19 (hopefully) as a realm but the Nether doesn't get the treatment it deserves and things like Wizard Fortress were pretty un-noticed and in the end were removed entirely, so why not just remove the PvP aspect of the Nether?
Answer 1: They either were too focused on updating other things at the time (gavel etc.)
Answer 2: They didn't have any exact plans for it until later on or the plans are for sometime else (possibly 1.19 or 1.20)

 

Let's just replace the gamemode with Wizard Fortress

Also shall I mention the big coliseum or colosseum (for all you Romans out there) is about the same one (size may be differnt) in Ancient Nemract, this may be a little Easter Egg because Ancient Nemract was the first city to be attacked, maybe the corrupt saw it as their "home" or the 2 builds are completely different or they were copy and pasted to save time.

People legit would actually play more of that then Nether PvP.

 

Actually, we didn’t build the Nether.

Grian/Salted commissioned BlocksWorks, a professional Minecraft build team, back then to build the Nether. Hence, it explains the difference in structure style between the map and our pre-Gavel era builds.

It seems that many people have this misconception, so I thought I’d clarify ;D

 

Does that mean you need permission from them to change anything? Also, yes the structure style is indeed different, pillars are massive and thick and don't have those swirly engravings like in Llevigar and other Gavel buildings, also who built the Realm Of Light and the dimension in Shattered Minds?

I agree. You see Theorick and Garoth go into the portal and come out corrupted and basically undead. It just doesn't make sense lore-wise as being a PvP zone that you can enter and leave with no consequences. There aren't even incentives for doing PvP anymore. The whole system needs a revamp. Just relocate the PvP to somewhere else and make it impossible to go into the portal temporarily until the team decides what to do from there.

 

To sum it up make the Nether more of a adventure/quest area and make like a separat arena for PvP.

Oh, I actually expected Dukioooo's wynndata would have, but he only has 108 though, but Lotem's dream came true, not sure what would be harder though, a questbook or recording the stats of 3127 items

 

Indeed 108 likes is quite low compared to some major threads.
Even this thread ( https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/cant-play-wynncraft-because-of-the-pack-heres-how-to-fix.98023/ ) has more and it's not even a lot for a 3 years old thread that is on the first page since a while now ( Well, normal since it's sticked. x) ).

Except these random informations, yes, the nether shoud really get some make-up adjustements, I've never knew anybody who get in there sometimes, it's an abandonned place that has a lot of potential.
